IAFET was established to advance the translation and interpreting professions and foster the professional development of individual translators and interpreters.IAFET is governed by its Bylaws, which define the scope and nature of its activities, and an elected Board of Directors, which manages the business of the association.
By being the only and the first Egyptian association member of the International Federation of Translators FIT; IAFET‘s primary mission now is to promote the professional development of translators and interpreters in Egypt and the whole world; as well as offering a certification exam that allows translators to demonstrate that they meet certain standards of the translation profession.
IAFET membership offers translators, interpreters, and company owners the best resources and opportunities for professional development, networking, and marketing in the industry.
